Default sdtray.exe - Bad Image; jsproxy.dll appears to be the problem

When I start my computer, the following error message pops up:

    Sdtray: SDTray.exe - Bad Image
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\jsproxy.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.

I uninstalled Spybot Search & Destroy and reinstalled it, but that didn't solve the problem.

I don't believe sdtray.exe would use jsproxy.dll in any way,but then again when I thought on it a little,I'm not 100% certain on that.Kind of seems like something might be messed up,though.

Try going to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\jsproxy.dll,rightclick the .dll, select Properties. What does Opens With: say?

Are you running Windows 7 or 8?

You could try running sfc /scannow,and see if that might fix things up.There are instructions here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
Please let me know how it goes.

I ran sfc /scannow; this is from the CBS.log that was produced:

Okay, the page says when "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." to view the details(which you have done by looking at the CBS.log and to try repairing manually.Would that be an option to you?
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/9298...ually%20repair
Note You may be able to get a known good copy of the system file from another computer that is running the same version of Windows with your computer
Would you have another computer you could get the file from.

Note that your startup error message mentions C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\jsproxy.dll,but your CBS.log mentions C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\jsproxy.dll
    I'm trying to remember junctions,on my own Windows 7 computer I have a C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\jsproxy.dll file and a C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\jsproxy.dll that are different sizes,so I assume that isn't a junction.
The hash for C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\jsproxy.dll is not what windows expects, according to your CBS log.

If repairing manually isn't an option, this wiki mentions DISM(It is a good idea to have your data backed up,as it mentions.):

There is more of a tutorial mentioned here:
