Let me get you the ram and memory size

hi again

1.60 ghz
496 mb RAM

The problem is everytime I try to click on a application or try to click on a tab in explorer, it takes a very long time to change screens.

Its like it has to go through a checking system before it allows me to use any applications.

Overall the speed is the same as before, no change and quite fustrating as it used to be a very quick laptop, but after my daughter had returned it, its like really slow

kind regards

mandy

Hi,

Since the scans don't report anything problem has to be somewhere else. You may want to post some forum that has area for general computer issues too. For example Tech Guy and Pc Pitstop are that kind of forums.

You may also see hints given here.

Let's remove the used tools:
  • Click START then RUN
  • Now copy-paste Combofix /uninstall in the runbox and click OK

Please download OTC and save it to desktop.
  • Double-click OTC.exe.
  • Click the CleanUp! button.
  • Select Yes when the
    Begin cleanup Process?
    prompt appears.
  • If you are prompted to Reboot during the cleanup, select Yes.
  • The tool will delete itself once it finishes, if not delete it by yourself.
