Antivirus failing to update

Running Win 10, Technical edition of Spybot 2.4, solid internet connection.

Anti-malware updates perfectly fine, but when it comes to antivirus it fails to update.

Specifically:
"Update started...
[00:47.660] The antivirus update failed to download files (error: -2108)!
[00:47.922] [+] Antivirus update server av.safer-networking.org available.
[00:48.232] [+] Antivirus update server av2.safer-networking.org available.
[00:48.549] [+] Antivirus update server av3.safer-networking.org available.
[00:48.608] [+] Antivirus update server upgrade.bitdefender.com available.
[00:48.608] Retrying to install updates (2. attempt)..."
...and repeats until I close the updater.

Anyone know what this is about?

PS:
I thought I figured out a solution which seemed to be tied to an error message I was receiving at shutdown here
Followed through with this solution and it fixed the error message, but not the original problem I thought it was tied to. I still have a suspicion it could be related.

Just saw there are several others who are talking about the same thing (which for some reason didn't come up in my search results). Never mind on a reply.
