Attaining FTP site denied; is it malware related?

Spybot folks: With both IE version-6 & IE version-7 Beta-2 I can no longer get to the FTP site I once was able to log on to a few weeks ago. Could this be caused by some malware I inadvertently picked-up recently? This particular FTP site can only be reached by using IE. Netscape or any other browser does not work. The problem is with my home PC. With my computer at work I have no problem getting to the FTP site.
If I need to run "hijack this" for your review; could you please give me the link to it.
Thanks in advance for any advice you may have for me.
