Can we see if there is an updated version of Spybot that does not require us to have to do a reboot after running or updating it. As it stands, if you simply switch accounts after doing so, then the account settings file gets all messed and defaults to generic settings until a reboot happens.

Problems have been noted with user profiles if you log onto an account while Spybot is running a "Check for problems" or if a Spybot "Check for problems" was aborted in another account (see Post #2 in Windows local profies gone!?!).

You seem to indicate by "…after running or updating …" Spybot that a Spybot was not running under another user account when you encountered a problem with a user profile. I am assuming that even "… after ..." that Spybot was not running and it was complete .

Can you elaborate on the chronology (events arranged in order of occurrence) if there seems to be a new problem affects user profiles even "after" Spybot has been successfully completed in another user account.
