i just want to know if this is a threat . avi codec pack+ i run spybot s&d in vista . if any one knows what this is please let me know . it dont show up in control panel or the hard drive it does show up in my programs list .

i did scan it with spybot s&d it came up clean .
that is just it i don't know where this came from.

yes but not in the hard drive it does show up in control panel now .

If you don't want the program try removing it via Programs> Add/Remove.

well it isn't doing any thing yet . i did make a pic of it if you want to see it.

i just get worried when things just show up on my pc .

It won't be necessary to show a picture if you see the application yourself in the Program list.

well if it is what i think it is yes and no i wont do that again where your computer is used to make files to help other none profit things. i got stuck with a virrus and had to format my pc .
