Brand New here - got the http://static.australianbrewingcompany.com/ virus

I just don't trust the websites telling me to install their software to get rid of it. Has anyone else gotten this?

I use spybot regularly, and it has not mentioned it or taken it off.

I also use iobit Advanced System Care Ultimate, and it has not found it.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 running Windows XP service pack 2.

The virus makes pop ups of ads when I am trying to type.

Any help would be appreciated.

In order for someone to advise please see the forum sticky which includes guidelines and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary DDS and aswMBR logs used for analysis.

Then start a new topic as shown in that FAQ along with a description of the computer's symptoms and a volunteer analyst will assist when available.
