Browser helper not linstalled, resident issues, and cant find info on posts

Hello there!

Well i am new here, just sign up yesterday, after i got nailed with a fake spyware system damger junk..... and was very happy to find a post by Taashi about this spyware and was able to clean it with some other 25 or 30 virus and other stuff. To day i was in Spybot doing a update. i when for the inmmunize option, and noticed that the little square for " Enable for permant blocking..." wasn't check. so i tried to check it and i can't!!!!!! i also noticed that on top of the blue " i " icon in blue fonts it said " Permanently running bad downlaod blocker...."

Is the blocker running??????

And later checking around i found that in the "Tools">Resident, that SDhelper is also not check and i cant check it??????

I placed this post there becuase i found a post from Tashi that sent a guy with a similar problem "here", but i looked around and found no info.

Hello :)

like i mencioned, when i try to inmmunize after i get the S&D up dates, i have noticed that i dont have the little box to check or uncheck ( click or unclick)

There is also a blue icon with a "!" on it ... it said " Permanently running bad downlaod blocker...."

Is the blocker running?????? i cont click it or unclick it

And later checking around i found that in the "Tools">Resident, that SDhelper is also not check and i cant click on it

Is that better???? make sence???? OR should i go drink drain-O???

And Ps i was going to post this in S&D forum But the only other post that stated any thing similar to my question , Tashi sent him here to start a new theread.

Hi Joey!

No you don't have to drink Draino :D And we don't need to move you to the Malware Removal forum (been there, done that and we're finished). Just trying to get Spybot working right again.

Did you try uninstall/reinstall Spybot in case it was damaged?

Let me move this to the Spybot Forum for now to see if Team Spybot has any other ideas for you. :)
