Cannot access Spybot updates or Microsoft update after cleaning tidserv trojan

It's running and updating as it should be, but I still have the problem of the "My Documents" folder, when selected from "My Computer," pointing to "C:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\My Documents" instead of the default folder, as it did before the infection. Where can I go to get that fixed, if you don't have the answer?

Hi,

Right-click "My Documents" and select Properties. Then change the target path to correct one.

1. Open My Computer
2. Right click My Documents link on the left side of the window and select properties. Isn't there a target text box there? Please post a screenshot of the properties window.

Taken from right-clicking on "Psybernetic's Documents" in "My Computer." No text box for a target, and the only one is greyed out.

Hi,

Open notepad and then copy and paste the bolded lines below into it. Go to File > save as and name the file fixes.bat, change the Save as type to all files and save it to your desktop.

Double-click on fixes.bat file to execute it. If notepad opened up post back its contents, please.

Hi,

Right click an empty area of your desktop. Choose Properties-> Desktop tab-> Customize Desktop button-> General tab.

Checkmark "My Documents" and apply changes. "My Documents" icon should appear on your desktop. Right click it and see if target tab and textbox to change target are visible.
