cannot get past the xp login

today I upgraded spybot and ran a check. the system asked if I would like to finish on the next boot up. i answered yes. now when i click my user name ( it is an administrator) the system just logs right out. this happens even in safe mode. is there a fix for this

Hello Ron,

There can be problems if you use current detection patterns in old software versions.
Therefore we have ended the update support for dated versions of Spybot-S&D.

Please have a look at this blog we have written about this problem
That should help to solve it. :)

I would also recommend to perform a Repair Installation.
