Command Service problem. Can't Run Kaspersky

Unbelievable

I downloaded and ran the scan, and it found 13 high risk infections, and about 13 medium risk infections, but after I applied the action (delete) it said there was no report. I told it to run a report after every scan. There is nothing in the quarantine, and I don't know how to share with you the result.:sad:
 
No Reports

The Reports icon--it shows "no reports available." On the Scanner page, the action (delete) was applied to all items, but the "report" button is grayed out. I am just going to run the scan again.:snorkle:
 
Very unhappy

My AVG did not generate a report of the scan I spent over 3 hours conducting. The other day after the lengthy scan, I ran another scan, and a report was created, but there was nothing in it (since I had already deleted the 30 infections found in the first scan.) So tonight when I scanned, again the "save report" button is grayed out. On the "report" screen, the only report listed on the left hand column is the one from the other day with nothing to report about. So I have had two scans with infections, but no report generated, and one scan with no infection, and a report was generated. The infections found tonight were all tracking cookies. I would like to know what you think about my current situation, Little Eagle. During the scan, the Avira popped up showing viruses twice. That concerns me. Is there any other information that I can post to you that would enable you to see whether my system is clear?

Rising in the Ranks

I thought of this step all my own self! :crowned: Spybot found one directory ( I do not know what that is) that was labeled in "broderbund software" which is, I am sure, one of my kids' learning games. I did not know what it might be, but deleted it anyway.
Please let me ask you: it now takes about six minutes from the time I press "on" to the time I can actually use my computer. A week ago, it was one or two minutes. I am waiting for my friend to show me how to turn off things that are running in the background that I don't need running, but
Do you think of anything in particular that would account for this sudden slowing down?
And can you recommend to me which of the scanners and guards you've suggested I should keep on or run regularly?

Hello Little Eagle.
I am a little sweaty for late December, but I think I followed your directions. When I got to the part about deleting the folders QDRMODULE and QDR Pack, they were not there. Thank you for the explicit help on everything.

This is the first time in a week or ten days we have been able to open Internet Explorer on the first try. I have been having to go around-about to open an internet page, like starting Google earth and hitting someone's post or something crazy like that. Just now, I was able to double click on IE and it opened right away. Previously whenever we try to shut down, we have to go through "closing down program please wait " for about 25 times. A million thanks.:angel:

I do not know what is disabled. I have it on normal startup. Under the different tabs, every box is checked, except on the boot ini. tab, none of the boot options are checked.
I have followed your directions about the hjt scan. Thank you.

System Restore

One of the best features of Windows XP is the System Restore option, however if a virus or spyware infection.
There can be backups made in the System Restore folder.
Therefore, clearing the restore points is necessary after a virus or spyware removal.

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account
which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because
you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Little EAgle, I really appreciate all the help and education you have provided to me. I ran Spybot just yesterday, and my kids were amazed we had nothing show up! That's because we click "deny" ten thousand times a day. I told them it is a little annoying, but all those people are snooping in my computer. I don't know if you have to close cases like the FBI does, but my problems seem to be completely resolved.

Little Eagle, I cannot check any box. Everything in the SPYBOT IE HELPER HAS DETECTED panel is grayed out except "Deny." I can't even check "Allow", or see anything other than "Ask me again next time". Is there a way I can get more options such as "remember this decision?"
