creating backups for recovery

I am a new user. The first time I ran Spybot, it found four items, which I removed. Then when I looked in "Recovery", there are no items listed there. Shouldn't Spybot have created a backup copy of the items which I deleted? I have checked in "settings", and the item "create backups for easy recovery" is checked.

How do I fix this?

Maybe or maybe not. It depends on the type of the detections that you did a "Fix selected problems" on.

If they were tracking cookies, there are no Recovery files created during the deletion of tracking cookies. Please read the following thread:

If you still question whether or not Spybot is working correctly, post a copy of the Fixes.yymmdd-hhmm.log produced when you did the "Fix selected problems" and we can take a look at it.
