Different DL Servers = Different File Sizes

Why is it that the filesize of spybot 1.5.2 varies depending upon which server I download from?

What is the size in bytes of the REAL spybotsd version 1.5.2??

Are you talking about the installation program? The size of the spybotsd152.exe installation program is 9,722,720 Bytes.

Did you download from one of the sites listed here?
To make sure there wasn't a tranmission problem, check the MD5 hash of the downloaded spybotsd152.exe installation program as well as the size. Is the MD5 hash value equal to the following?
  • CC91B89CE4EBA400BAED4F626487D579
To check the MD5 hash value you can use one of these programs (note: The download for MD5 Checker 2.31 is only 23892 bytes, so if you are having problems downloading that may be the best option):
