epicunitscan.info0 removal

I believe i have the epicunitscan.info0 malware as discussed here. I can not install adblock on Google Chrome and i assume this is the cause. I have windows popping up at random times when browsing, after closing windows or clicking on items on pages (which are not ads).

I installed spybot in hope this would remove this but it hasn't. Is it not removed by spybot? any advice?

When the problem started had you downloaded an App from the Chrome Web Store?

What is the operating system please.
