Error Message-annot "Check for Problems"

I downloaded updates for Spybot S&D. There was an option to install, which I chose. The program asked to reboot the computer. After again opening Spybot S&D, I was unable to "Check for Problems." I received an error message stating, "You need to install the detection updates first by using the integrated update or the manual updates."

Thinking it may not have detected my updates, I re-updated one of the updates again. No install option appeared.

Again, upon trying to "Check for Problems," I received the same error message.

Does anyone know what the problem might be???
