Failed to get data for ""

I get this message constantly when trying to run a check.

Have tried reinstalling without effect.

I am running Vista SP2with IE7. I did breifly use IE8 then reverted to IE7, not sure if that could have messed things up.

Machine specs: AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 2.1gb with 2gb ram.

Have you found a solution. I am getting the exact same errors from Spybot S&D. Other scanners come up clean.

Perhaps you have a damaged advcheck.dll.
Have you already tried to uninstall and reinstall Spybot?

I have the same problem. Now I'm running Win 7. I have installed FireFox and Explorer 8. Before I used Vista and hadn't this problem.
It doesn't dessapear after reinstall.

No answers to this problem is exactly why I uninstalled and deleted the program from my vista machine.{Error during check!}: (Failed to get data for '').

Program works fine on XP machine but is a piece of _ _ _ _ on vista and you can not get any help from this forum about the problem.

I guess they just don't know

Did you open Spybot with a right click and choose "run as administrator"?
Did you close the browser during the scan?

Running Windows 7 Home Edition. Login has Administrator priviledges.

Same error - "failed to get data for" errors on god knows how many checks - far too many to post here. Have run as Administrator, makes absolutely no difference at all. Looks like a SBS&D bug to me.

Hello,

Please check your BHO's and post them here.
Those detections rules are all for browserhelpers, so that seems to be the problem.
You can copy the BHO's from your Spybot report.
Run Spybot - Search & Destroy and switch to Advanced Mode via the menu item Mode, let it scan, try to fix the problems (!) and then go to "Tools" --> "View Report". Tick all the 10 checkboxes (leave "Do not report disabled or known legitimate items" unchecked) you can find there and click on "View Report".
