Fraud.XPAntivirus

I made a list of that stuff, and will check them all out tomorrow...getting late here, time for bed! I also filed a report on that Malware Complaints forum just now, detailed it as much as I could.

I can't thank you enough for all your help/advice/tips. Even though I had to reformat in the end, it was before you had a chance to reply when I thought I was at the end of the road...probably should have waited a little longer, haha. I use to have a false sense of security, thinking I knew too much about computers/internet to get a virus..."if I don't download and run it, it won't hurt me. Therefore I don't need no stinkin' anti-virus or firewalls"...reality has set in, and now I realize how easily windows can be compromised without me even realizing or unintentionally helping it, and that the above prevention tips and software are vital in order to safely surf the web and stay virus-free. I'll be sure to spread the word on this stuff, and help out others that were in the same situation I was in 2 days ago.
