FTP no longer works

Since installing the new version of SB, I've found that I can no longer access my FTP server in Singapore?!? A search of Google turns up a few people having this same issue. I can ping my FTP server no problem from my router and coleagues have no issue getting to it either, but since i installed SB again its buggered.

Any ideas guys?

I've immunized my system and scanned etc, and i can't see SB saying it doesn't like my FTP, so i cant see where to add it to an ignore list...

well, i've tested another system running SB 2.1 and i can access my FTP through it so I guess that eliminates SB from the list of suspects....

However, I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions anyone has...

Oh,guess you can't follow along and see what "that guy's" solution is,then. :D:
This should be a search of your error on filezilla forums:

A lot of it is people with firewall problems, but this one doesn't seem to be:

Between the two Spybot's you tried, are there any differences in how they're set-up?
It probably wouldn't be this, but would your computer have the Spybot Proxy enabled, and the computer that you were able to connect with not have the Spybot Proxy enabled,or anything like that?

Mine doesn't have the proxy enabled. Will have to check on the other when i get a chance.

I solved it.

Turns out I had a little program called PeerBlock that I had completely forgotten about silently sitting there and happily blocking every attempt but not actually telling me it was doing it.

Just logged in to my laptop a few mins ago and saw it updating and had a sudden brainwave.....

I turned it off, pinged the ftp server (it worked!) so I tried to add the ftp as a mapped network drive and BOOYA!

Have turned it back on again now and tried again, saw a block confirmation come up on the realtime log, told it to allow that connection permanently and bobs your first cousins aunty! ;)

Thanks for all the time and effort you guys have put into trying to help me solve this, it was greatly appreciated. You are all top notch people. Sorry it turned out to be something so stupidly simple.
