Hang caused by Open registry file (differences only)

When I tried "Open registry file (differences only)..." with RegAlyzer v1.5.8.10 on a 53MB .reg file created by exporting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE from regedit (comes with XP), RegAlyzer would hang and use 99% of the CPU. Memory commit charge stayed at a normal level. Task manager showed 2 RegAlyzer applications, even though I only launched 1. After 45 minutes, I tried to close RegAlyzer, but it did not respond. I killed the process with task manager, and my PC acted normally. My PC has Windows XP Pro SP3 and 288MB RAM.
