hi! I have been using spybot for years, excellent product and i prefer more than any other application for spyware. A strange thing happened to me. I was recently installing an app off the net, "brico vista pack for xp". After installing this pos my computer went bezerk. I had over 100 spyware apps, from keyloggers, to every exploit imaginable. It even installed some lame spyware apps and anti-virus(tricks you into opening up your pc for even more exploit). My internet explorer is shot, etc... I can navigate, but the moment i try to come to safer networks homesite or do a search for spybot, etc.. it will not load the page, they also did the same for my avg. When I try to run spybot, it will not run... so i'm basically f'ed as of right now. I have tried several versions of spybot re-install, etc... from usb drive, cdrom, etc... mind you my system ran flawlessly with spybot, but i should have scanned this file more comprehensively. Does anyone know anything I can do. My system is not totally screwed, I'd like to fix it if I could. I tried several other weak anti-spywares and nothing gets cleaned. All i need is to get my spybot running and we'll be okay. Fortunately my teatimer is still running, but doesn't do much. Any help would always be appreciated, spybot still ownz. :clown:

*Scoff. BricoPack for XP from crystalxp correct? Make your XP look like Vista Ultimate? Junk. Pitiful useless gunk. I don't mean to be flaming on you. Many users (not on this forum) have complained about how there was so much malware and all that after installing BricoPack or Vista Inspriat.

Malware is not installed by it self. A majority of the time, make the 99%, it is installed by the user. Careless mistakes add to it. Run a FULL SCAN with Spybot-SD and see what it finds.
