HELP please

Hi folks,
I'm facing a strange problem. I own two PC but only on one of those I cannot view anymore the Spybot webpages and during the update phase it says me: Socket error 1101. I already verified firewall configuration and othger tricks but I didn't find problems. Consider that everything is working fine on the other PC. If I type the IP address on the browser I can meet Spybot pages while if I write the URI no.
I updated manually spybot 1.4 and performed a pc scan without find out spyware or other things.
Can you help me in suggesting some tricks?

Please take a look at the security settings of your firewall (if you are using one) and make sure that Spybot-S&D is not blocked. That should help to get into the updates. If Spybot-S&D is not blocked it is also possible that our server is temporarily not available. Please try again a few hours later.

Just download and run that file - it is self-installing.

Sandra, thanx for your reply. As I already said, firewall seems to be not the responsible.... already verified. No entries are present in the FW log. Yesterday eveneing I already flushed DNS entries but the result is still negative.... no way to see Spybot web pages using URI and socket error on updating the product. Any other tricks? Thanx.
