Hey guys, I've been using Spybot S&D for a LONG time now and I love it. Now, I just installed it on my friends computer and I updated it and I get this message," You nedd to install the detection updates first by using the intergrated update or the manual updater." (then it has a box to click ok) I can't check the computer for problems cuz that's what it says whenever I try.. Now there are no more updates that can be downloaded.. any ideas?

If you haven't exited Spybot since downloading the updates,try exiting Spybot,then restarting Spybot,and see if Spybot will run a scan then.
Or,reboot your friends computer,and try running a Spybot scan after you're logged back into windows.
If that doesn't work,post back.

If the downloaded.ini file does not exist when you do a "Search for Updates" it is recreated from the actual content of the C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Includes folder. However if it exists and contains incorrect information it could stop the update process from recognizing that there are files that should be downloaded.
