Yeah, hi, I downloaded a so-called "Keygen" for BAttefield 2 (for a LAN party, so we could install it on all computers and play LAN without it complaining about the key). Turns out, it wasn't a keygen but some installer for a load if hideous programs (involving avp.exe and mgrs.exe) that ended up screwing up my whole system. After a hasty quarantine by Sophos Anti-Virus, and me booting into safe mode and removing the registry entries pointed to by Spybot, I managed to remove almost all of the threats. However, Smitfraud-C and Virtumonde still remain on Spybot, and each time, it tells me that it was removed successfully. Needless to say, next time I scan, it's back again.
