How long does the initial Create a whitelist take ?

As in the title, I saw a pop-up about creating a Whitelist, so I took up the option.
Its now been about 4 hours, so I was wondering if this is 'normal' ?

Whitelisting usually takes quite a while, as I recall. Four hours and up seems like a reasonable amount of time, though times probably vary between computers, and times may also vary depending on the amount of things that need to be whitelisted. But all should be okay so long as you see the whitelist progressing along. :)
