False positives are false scanning/blocking results.
If you believe that you found a false positive within Spybot - Search & Destroy, Teatimer, the SD-Helper, the Spybot - Search & Destroy Immunization or the "right click" file scanner we will require the following information to find, confirm and remove the false positive:
Scan, fix, resident and error logs are located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs\
Alternatively these logs can be accessed within Spybot - Search & Destroy:
If you are in doubt in which part of Spybot - Search & Destroy the possible false positive occurs you can submit a screen shot and we will tell you which further information will be required.

- Browser and Version (Internet Explorer 9, FireFox 10, Opera 11.61 etc.)
- Version of Spybot - Search & Destroy and date of the latest update
- where did the false positive occur
- Scan result
- after fix
- Spybot message at start of scan
- Teatimer message when a program was executed
- not reachable/restricted website
- SDHelper popup
- right click scan result

- switch Spybot - Search & Destroy to advanced mode
- navigate to tools - view report
- click "view report" to generate a new report
- click "view previous report" to access older / automatically generated reports
- click "export" to save the report to a text file
