Icons not working in vista

I downloaded and ran spybot S&D on my new vista laptop and next thing i knew none of the shortcuts on my desktop were working. Does anyone know how to fix it?
 
Hello,

Which version of Spybot do you use?
Did you made a scan?
If yes did you delete anything that was found?
And if yes did you already tried a recovery?

I used version 1.5.1
Yes I scanned and deleted the one thing it found (doubleclick) but the icons didnt stop working until after i restarted the computer. The only reason i knew it was spybot causing this is because it is the only new thing i installed and i looked it up on the web.
I cant try a recovery because now spybot isnt working and even if i uninstall and then re-install it wont work.
