Great, glad your back to normal :)

Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
  • Click on the Uninstall button.
  • Click Yes when asked are you sure you want to uninstall.
  • Both AdwCleaner.exe, its folder and all logs will be removed.

Please download DelFix and save the file to your Desktop.

  • Double-click DelFix.exe to run the program.
  • Place a checkmark next to the following items:
*Activate UAC
*Remove disinfection tools
*Create registry backup
*Reset System Settings

Click the Run button

Here is the log for the DelFix, just FYI

Thank you very very much for your help and patience.

And, do you have any recommendations for ongoing anti-virus and anti-malware protection?

You have AVG Anti Virus installed, keep it updated, run regular scans and don't install another one because with AntiVirus software more than one is overkill and will do more harm than good.

You also have Spybot Search and Destroy installed, again keep it updated and run regular scans.

We used Malwarebytes as part of the clean up, you can upgrade to the Pro version that will give you some extra protection, the cost is minimal but this of course is up to you.

You also have SuperAntiSpyware installed, your call on this one to keep or uninstall, myself never been to impressed with it.

Another good program is WinPatrol
http://www.winpatrol.com/

You really dont need much else

Take care my friend

Ken :)

Thanks

Ken,

Thanks again for your help. We were actually working on my wife's computer, and she is VERY VERY grateful.

Have a great summer.
