Incredibly Long Download Time

Hi All

New to this site, so be nice to me. Computer dummy on the loose.

My problem is: It takes FOREVER for updates to Spybot to download, in fact I have sometimes aborted the whole operation as it is taking hours and hours. I became so frustrated with this once that I uninstalled Spybot, downloaded the whole thing again and that seemed to work for a while. Now it's back to taking ages to download anything at all.

I have dial-up in case that's significant.

I also use Ad-Aware, and that takes but moments to download.

Please Help. I find that Spybot finds many nasties that the others don't.

Have you tried selecting a different download location,maybe a different one would be faster.How-to is shown on this page(number 4):

If that doesn't help,you can download Detection updates manually from this page:
http://www.spybot.info/en/download/index.html
