I'm trying to set up an SSH Proxy, and even though it works for others, it seems not to be working on any of my computers.
The only "funny" networking things I have is Spybot S&D - on both PC's, unfortunately, so I can't test it - does anyone know if this is actually interfering, and if so, what a work-around is?
I have putty set up with a tunnel for a socks5 proxy. It's set up to forward to local port 8888 (I tried 7777, 1080..) and I configured the proxy in chrome/FF to localhost:8888 and I get the same error as when I use the wrong port. Is spybot, perhaps in the host file, interfering with this?
