Help!

Which OS and Internet Explorer version do you have?
Are you an administrator?
Can you add or find more information about the problem?

Internet Explorer

Thanks for reply

OS is Windows XP, IE is version 6 as when updated had problems so reverted to this but this was months ago

Are you using WinXP Professional?
If you use, then go to:
C:\WINDOWS\system32 and run file named "gpedit.msc".

That's a Group Policy Editor (Only availble in WinXP Professional).

Then go to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Compoments > Internet Explorer.

Look for a setting which has "Disabled" State.

If there is no disabled setting, look in a:
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Compoments > Internet Explorer.

Internet Explorer

Thanks for your continuing help

System is

Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

You have Windows XP Home Edition installed which means that you can't use Group Policy Editor.

When you have upgraded Windows XP with SP3, did you have some complications?

Do you mean that you have updated IE 6 to 7/8 and then you have reverted using System Restore?
