Is malware disabling the Security Center service?

Hi. My client has an XP SP2 machien where the Security Center service
is disabled whenever the machine is rebooted. I can manually restart
the service and turn on Automatic Updates, but of course I want to fix
this problem.

I've run Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D several times and there are just two
registry keys left over from YourSiteBar and cmdService but I cannot
erase them. Do either of these two malwares disable the Security
Center? If it's something else that I can't find, then I'm gonna have
to rebuild the machine. :-( HiJackThis shows no trace of cmdService
or YourSiteBar.

(I've tried to delete the reg keys through Regedit but I was uanble to
delete them. However, I haven't checked the permissions of those keys
- I may need to reset the permissions on the reg keys.)

thanks
david

If you have either McAfee Security Center or Norton Internet Security please read the following:
disable notify

If not please post the actual detections that you are getting as follows:
After the next time you rebooted, run another scan. When the scan completes, right click on the results list, select "Copy results to clipboard" then paste those results to a new post.
