Is Viewpoint Media Player spyware?

I have this program installed on my computer. If I uninstall it, I keep on getting this annoying Adobe popup from AOL.

I looked at various websites, and many say it's spyware, and then others don't. Does anyone know if it is or not?

Hello,

We had Viewpoint in the detections but they have improved their software
and we have reviewed our detections and do not detect them anymore as malware.
