I'm not quite sure if this site can help, but you have been so helpful with viruses in the past, thought I'd give it a shot.

Lucky me...got ipod shuffle for Christmas. Have charged it and downloaded itunes as on Apple website per instructions included in shuffle. Here's the problem. When I try to access itunes on my pc, I get the following message:

itunes library.itl file is locked, on a locked disk or you do not have write permission for this file.

If you cannot help, maybe you know where I could go for help. Thanks you so much!

I don't know if this would help, maybe try running itunes as an administrator.

If that doesn't work, I would re-install itunes. (as that usually cures the problem! :laugh

Wild guess, make sure no songs are playing.
