Hello,
My mother-in-law got infected with Jhoos Messenger. She received an email from a friend that says something like, "XYZ wants to add you to her friends list and two links to click to "approve or refuse". Turns out that both links are the same and if you click either your Outlook contacts list is hijacked and everybody gets the "add friend" email. If they click either link the whole thing is repeated again to more clueless victims.
I put SpyBot on her computer and it did NOT detect Jhoos Messenger. Anybody know why? Any program that hijacks your email should be detected IMHO. There are few traces of this malware on an infected computer. All I could find was a couple of registry entries, which I deleted.
I hope SpyBot decides to detect this malware!
