Just wondering

How did you guys get into this business? I dont know of anyone who specializes in malware and such and I think it's really cool. Im just a cook, and diagnosing a problem and fixing it is similar, just you all take it to a higher level.

So if one wanted to effectively find and troubleshoot a problem like what is happening on this forum, how should they go about it?
