as requested, I took a serious look at all this and fixed it. ✅
It may be that you need to click through one warning Spybot2 shows you, but now updates are consistent again!

When is Spybot going to fix the problem with updates2.safer-networking.org/ and updates3.safer-networking.org/ not having the current data?
 
hi again,

quick question - since that fix, i haven't seen any antispyware update.
bevor, it used to comes on wednesdays. any reason?

Hi again and sorry to hear that.

The spybot updates are doing fine from what I see.
To investigate this further, it would be nice if you could share your update dot log with us.
You can find it at the left of the screen next to a little notepad with a pen.
It should roughly look like what drghughes posted earlier in this very thread.

If this seems too clunky for you, reinstalling spybot could also be an option for you: It would fix your issue almost certainly.

yes, just posting the info here is just what i intedned 👍
what jumped my eye is that this info is carrying a date almost a year ago. having the log file opened, you'll find the up-to-date info scrolling aaaaaaaaaaaall the way down. when you update spybot on a regular basis, this can produce quite a wall of text 🧱🧾

Great, that's how it's supposed to work.
If anything comes up, don't hesitate to talk to us!
 
Try running the Start Center as Administrator first, as permission hangs often block those specific .cab files from writing to your disk.

If that fails, it’s likely a temporary sync issue with the Safer-Networking mirrors; waiting an hour usually fixes it without you touching a thing.

You can also bypass the internal updater by downloading the "spybotsd_includes.exe" manual installer directly from their official site to force the definitions.

Lastly, check your Spybot Settings under "Internet Protection" to ensure no proxy is accidentally blocking the connection to the update servers.
