Description:
Win32.Virut.Vitro is a Trojan horse that pretends to be a legit application like Flashplayer or Google Chrome to get executed. It infects executable files on the computer to ensure that it can persist on the infected computer. Win32.Virut.Vitro also creates a System Restore Point with infected files. Since cleaning these infected files is not possible it is advised to do a repair install of the system to overwrite infected system files such as userinit.exe or explorer.exe. Since other software may also be infected it is advised to reinstall all software.
