My first blog. I hope it's okay.
I've been looking for this game a long time. A simple 3D block world, a ball (made of marble, of course) and a few bonuses and which every game should have at least fun. Marble Arena has it. And at least it's free unlike other similar games.

In this picture you can see the playground (First run Level Map). Every new start of game begins here. You can do some training here by collecting stars (they'll reappear again) and improve some skills.
Although at start you can get confused for moving the marble and camera, you could get it on.

Another part of playground. Nice waterfall castle, don't you like it? When you go into water, you'll be quite slow because water has low gravity.
There are 22 beginner, 9 advanced and 13 expert level maps.
In those default levels you have time limit and upgrade points. Simpler levels have small points and short time, while heavier levels have bigger points and longer time, of course.
Even if time is out, you still can play. However, the chance of receiving upgrade points decreases every second.

4 marbles and one spike ball? No wonder. Spike balls can destroy other marbles. The result of destroying is +1 star, but it can be more if 2 marbles hit themselves! When they hit, at least 2 stars are at them (like "when you hit someone" cartoon stars). Destroy those marbles to receive stars! Another hit, you get 4, another, 8, 16, 32 and so on until all 128 stars are on them. Note that stars are time limited and they'll fade away.
There are some special material swap bonuses which can transform your marble into spike (as in picture above), titanium, magnet, toxic (as in picture below) and glass (hazard) in limited time.

A toxic marble can stun other marbles for some time. Stunning works by reversing the motion of ball. If a ball wants to go forward, it will go backward.
In case you fall or or stuck, press R to respawn and return to start.
To get some creativity, the game has its own map editor! Go to custom levels, select new custom map. When loaded, press E and enjoy (although I recommend reading guide first: http://marblearenaforum.motionforum.net/editing-help-credits-to-mihai-f5/)
More about this game you can find on:
http://www.marble-arena.com/
Downloads for the game is available here:
http://www.marble-arena.com/downloads.php (Broken)
Use following downloads: : http://download.cnet.com/Marble-Arena/3 ... 62551.html
Additional mirror: http://www.brothersoft.com/games/marble ... nload.html
However, there's one problem. The developer (a.k.a. Mihai Gabriel) is gone and the game is unfortunately not in development anymore which makes the game abandoned. There is no more official multiplayer server, but rarely, you can see one server. The source code of the game is not available. The official forum is locked. However, there's one more forum which is used for keeping the game alive:
http://marblearenaforum.motionforum.net/forum.htm
I hope you'll like the game. At least what I've made is a Facebook group for it, but it's not that popular still: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=wall&gid=355667835174
Enjoy the game! (While it's still here...)
