Max Spyware Detector

Trying to uninstall the program: Max Spyware Detector. Spybot reported it as malware but was not able to remove this entirely. My PC kep freezing as Spybot tried to enter into a deeper cleaning mode. I have tried, without sucess, to remove this using DOS commands. This is a stubborn bugger.

Did you elevate Spybot permissions when trying to remove the item? How can I get administrator rights under Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8?

For someone to take a look at the system please see the sticky which includes guidelines for this forum and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary DDS and aswMBR logs used for analysis.

Then start a new topic providing the logs and a volunteer analyst will advise when available.

I was logged in as administrator while trying to remove. Spybot will only let me dowhload updates when logged in as Administratoer. I will take a look at the link to make sure. Thanks for the sticky.

Being logged on to the computer as Administrator is different from elevating Spybot permissions.
