I didn't receive any disks with the purchase of my computer. s there any other ways of doing this? By the way MalwareBytes installed and I'm running a full scan. It hasn't found anything yet but ill do as you instructed when its done. Thanks

Well sir, computers purchased from reputable businesses or persons will come with the disks needed in the event a reformat is required. It will also come with the disks for all the the valid programs installed on the computer as they also must be reinstalled after the hard drive is formatted. I suggest you discuss this with where ever you purchased the computer.

Thanks

combofix showed no malware, the same with MBAM. Try updating your McAfee antivirus program and scan the system, post the results.

Since combofix and MBAM report no malware, and you can't seem to run anything else, I suggest you post at one of these free Vista forums. Perhaps they can help with the issues keeping you from running programs.

Post only at one.

If you are asking about this link: http://support.microsoft.com/
It is self-explanatory see this in the link:

Remove combofix from the computer like this:
Click START then RUN
Now type or copy Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

I know nothing about that product, that does not mean it is bad. There are two many programs for anyone to know them all. You might Google for additional information about that program.
I posted the information I have that I know is reliable for reformatting, I posted links to websites that deal with Vista Operating System issues that I know are reliable and I have linked you to Microsoft technical support where you may get help with the problem you have.
