need help with a problem (Virtumonde)

Hello,

Been having problems for about a week now.
I have been running Spybot , MS windows live ,Trend Micro House call and McAfee that AOL offers.
And not one was able to fix my problem.
I got a different results listing form each of the programs The ones I had trouble with were Virtumond and Adware-Isearch as far as I can tell. I used FxVMonde.exe to try and fix Virtumond but it told me I don't have it installed and I have no problems.

Something is definitely wrong with my PC and nothing I try seams to fix it. Think it has to do with Virtumonde.

Did everything in the mail ware removal instructions and here are the logs
have to brake it down into two posts as the text is very long

If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

1) You are running MSConfig in Selective Startup mode, return to Normal Mode so I can see everything.

2) See this: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\ <<< BADLY out of date, download the newest Java version and then uninstall all old version in Add Remove programs. This is likely whynyou got infected.

3) I see not malware in the HJT log, but hackers hide Vundo. Please return to here:
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe <<< rename HijackThis.exe, call it FTW777.exe or whatever you wish. If Vundo is hiding, the next log will show it.

4) Kaspersky Online Scan: Number of infected objects: 24

Open Spybot S&D and click on the White case with the red cross, delete everything in there.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery\

Navigate to that Quarantine folder and delete the contents.
C:\Documents and Settings\Charles Scaglione\.housecall6.6\Quarantine\

5) Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

• Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
• When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Morning Charles, I posted a couple of good likes telling you what this was, from the link you provided:

Optimum NetSurf is likely adware and as such, presents an unnecessary risk which should be eliminated! Removing netsurf.exe may cause a number of problems, such as slow performance, loss of data or leaking private information.

This is an optional removal but I would not allow it on my computer.
If it was me, I would be asking my ISP how it got there and why it is there, looks like they install the junk without your knowledge or permission, you get to make that call.

The other items you could not find, you made sure all files and folders were showing...correct? If so and you did not see them, combofix probably removed them, that Kaspersky scan was run before combofix. I would run the additional Kaspersky scan to be sure but I do not need to see the results of a clean scan, only if you have questions you can not answer.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

I do that under tools, folder options, View, Show hidden files and folders??
If so the yes they are showing and I don't have the files

Called my ISP and got rid of NetSurf.

Will run a scan Saturday, little busy before then, and let you know if anything comes up.
