"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)

Missing or empty files and folders, can't seem to get anything to install without something wrong. Wrong Appl. Path, Missing shared .dll to name a few. Don't know what to do with with all the empty folders. Also seem to have Hijacked local host, default URL prefixes and Domain.

Which program finds these?

"Hijacked local host, default URL prefixes and Domain."

If it is Advanced SystemCare 3, I wouldn't be 100% sure that they are real deal.

It was 10Bit, I tried uploading the HJT Log but couldn't get it to work. The site kept telling me it was an invalid file. I ran HJT 3 times, still no go.

Yes you can't upload HijackThis log but you can copy/paste it to your reply.

So please try that next.

Then you can try to rename it and try again.

If that doesn't help, you can upload to pastebin.com and post back link here.

This is the only way I've been able to post it, as a link. I can copy, paste or drag to my tool bar but can't paste to the site?

If%20all%20else%20Fails.log
That won't help as it is a link to your own computer.

I am afraid you will need to use some another computer for transferring logs.

I have tried 2 other computers using IE and Firefox. With and without Safe Mode, made any Internet Security changes needed including adding Spybot Forums to Trusted Sites. Made sure Drag and Drop, Copy and Paste was enabled. Still could not paste the file to site. But there was one thing that is prevalent with all three computers mine, my sons and one at a city library. (New) In IE 7 & 8 Spybot Forums would not load pages with out the message: Done but with Errors on the Page. I find it hard to believe that three PC's all have the same problem. Seems like there is a problem here.

That is not HijackThis log.

Let's try this one:

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.
  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS.txt and Attach.txt will open.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please copy/paste the contents of the following reports in your next reply:

DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Well if you can't get anything to run, there is not much we can do.

So next this one:

We need to create an OTL Report
  1. Please download OTL from one of the following mirrors:
  2. Save it to your desktop.
  3. Double click on the
    otlDesktopIcon.png
    icon on your desktop.
  4. Click the "Scan All Users" checkbox.
  5. Push the
    runscanbutton.png
    button.
  6. Two reports will open, copy and paste them in a reply here:
    • OTListIt.txt <-- Will be opened
    • Extra.txt <-- Will be minimized
