Newbie have just installed Professional Spybot. Quick question please.

I've just purchased the Spybot Professional package version 2.4.4.

Is that all I need to cover my computer both as an antivirus and malware monitoring as well?

Can I uninstall my current free version of McAffee antivirus software?

Hello freewell, :welcome:

You need one anti-virus program only, this is to avoid conflicts, loss of program efficiency and system lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.

Confused. If Spybot professional version covers all my antivirus needs along with everything else, do I just use it and uninstall any other antivirus programs such as the one I have which is free McAffee version?

This is one option. The other possibility is to disable McAfee.

The antivirus engine used in our Professional Edition is one of the best you can get and it provides "adequate protection".
