number of files protected

When updating Spybot I receive notice of available new downloads and after completeing I noted a HIGHER NUMBER of files protected each time. Since the last two or three new downloads the number of protected files has not increased. Is this OK?
 
There may not have been any new updates to immunization in the last two or three downloads,sometimes there aren't.So,it should be okay. :)
