If anyone knows what an "nvidia 6200 loop" is about please do direct me where I can get help to fix my computer. :thanks:

Indeed it is. I've tried uninstalling the driver and installing a bunch of newer ones in safe mode, but none of them have resolved the horizontal line/freezing/self-rebooting (infinite loop) problem. There are a lot of forums that come out of a google search on an "nvidia loop", but each have a different way of fixing it, and I'm not about ready to download any of their "remedies". Please someone point me in the right direction.

You didnt say, but if its a laptop then you should visit the computer vendors website for display drivers, not the Nvidia website.
