hi
I was wondering if anyone could tell me why after disconnecting from the net, 10 mins after, it has reconnected by itself,this has been a problem for a couple of months now , but not before that.I run xp and am on dial up
 
What ISP are you using? And how fast is your dial-up connection (56kbps is the standard one)? It could be possible that the connection is weak and is crashing often.

thanks for responding ,i s p execulink, download speed is 41-42kbs, and the modem is a fax modem
