pc very slow.

windowsxp with sp2 installed. well after scan 460 unprotected my pc is very slow opening mail. and pages on site any ideas. did get a notice of QTCF.dll.
dont have a clue.

Did a certain program in particular give you the "notice of QTCF.dll" and in what context?

Does the computer show signs of infection, slowness is an indicator but not a given.

Which security programs are installed, also please open Spybot Search & Destroy > Help > About and let us know the version and date of last definitions.

s&d copy 1.6.2. i have, last full scan was 24th sept..
when i turn on pc,this appears, theapp failed to start because QTCF.dll was not found, re-install may fix prob...
back to spybot immunize unprotect now 460.
I have avg.8.5. ccleaner,spyblaster and malwarebytes. i do weekly scans.

If you have iTunes/Quick Time installed you could post on the Apple forums.

Doing so gives the build number and the date the program received the latest definitions.

back to spybot immunize unprotect now 460.

i did delete avg before scan. any more ideas.please.

fixing problem

i un installed S&D and put it back on my pc. after full scan,
cannot create file,
c/windows/system32/drivers/etchost. ccc is denied.
so after immunize unprocted 1217.
i dont have avg or sonealarm. any ideas.please.

Also, why don't you have an Anti Virus, or did you install another program after removing AVG?

Sorry i was asked to remove avg, i did try and sort this out.so im sorry for not getting back to forum. what should i add to help this problem.

Hi. a friend asked me to remove avg,did do.then remove S&D. later re-installed Spybot again. same prob appears unprotceted 1275. today.
