Please GOD HELP!!!

So today my wife was computer today and suddenly there was this thing pop called antivirus pro2008. Since then I have been trying to remove it to no avail. I use to use Spybot a few years ago on my PC so I opened up my laptop and downloaded it as well as the update thing. Everything is now installed, but Spybot will not open in normal or in safe mode! Please help me!!!
