possible virtumonde - not sure

Can I ask you to take a look at another machine. This one isn't really exhibiting any problems - I'm just a little nervous about a couple of things. Whenever I run spybot, I get a message 'Microsoft windows security center_disabled'. I click fix problem and it says ok but next time I run, it is back again. Also, when running the spybot scan I can see the name virtumonde at the bottom where the files go by. I attached a log. Thanks so much.

This is just showing what the scan is looking for, it does not mean that your infected .

Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows including this one, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

O23 - Service: Viewpoint Manager Service - Viewpoint Corporation - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe


Go to your Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall Viewpoint, it installs without your knowledge or consent, uses system resources and basically is not needed.




Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune to your desktop.
  • This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
Your system may start up slower after running ATF Cleaner, this is expected but will be back to normal after the first or second boot up
