Problems Kept Exist After Fixing !!!

Spybot - Search & Destroy detected and fixed 3 problems (namely Pest Trap, Smitfraud-C and Vcodec). On second scanning, those problem were detected again and again after each fixing.

I am running Microsoft Window XP Home Edition and reports are as follows :


Smitfraud-C.: Settings (Registry value, nothing done)

I also can't check on the button "Enable Permanent blocking of bad addresses in Internet Explorer"

You can try to run Spybot-S&D in Safe mode and see if it will clean up your problems. To reboot your system in Safe mode see:

• Starting your computer in Safe mode

If Spybot-S&D still fails to remove the problems you can request assistance in the Malware Removal forum.

Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy. I believe that you will find the SDHelper.dll file is missing. Without that file you can not enable Spybot's resident "SDHelper" (Browser Helper Object - "Permanently running bad download blocker for Internet Explorer").
